The staff at the Admissions Desk will handle the entire admission process and will ask you for:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"pg-check\">\n<li>Your personal information to fill out the admission form, which you will sign.<\/li>\n<li>Your preferred room type.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Required documents<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"pg-check\">\n<li>Marriage Certificate issued within the last six months or Certificate of Family Status (in case of an unmarried mother)<\/li>\n<li>ID Card or Passport<\/li>\n<li>Insurance policy or private insurance card<\/li>\n<li>The Social Security Numbers (AMKA) of both parents<\/li>\n<li>The mother\u2019s IBAN number<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Be sure to consult your doctor to see if you need to bring any test results, ultrasound images, or other documents related to any health issues.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Maternity Bag<\/h3>\n<h4>For you:<\/h4>\n<ul class=\"pg-check\">\n<li>Nightgowns suitable for breastfeeding<\/li>\n<li>A robe for moving around comfortably within the maternity clinic.<\/li>\n<li>Slippers (optional, as they are provided by the maternity clinic).<\/li>\n<li>Personal care items (cosmetics, toiletries, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Underwear (such as nursing bras)<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable clothes and flat shoes for when you leave the maternity ward.<\/li>\n<li>Cream for the prevention and treatment of sore nipples (optional)<\/li>\n<li>Your cell phone and charger<\/li>\n<li>Books or magazines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For your baby:<\/h4>\n<p>During your hospital stay, all necessary items for your baby\u2019s clothing and care will be provided; however, for your discharge, please make sure to bring the following with you:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"pg-check\">\n<li>Baby underwear<\/li>\n<li>Diapers or baby blankets<\/li>\n<li>Clothing you\u2019ll need when taking your newborn home, depending on the season (onesie, socks, hat, jacket, sheet, and blanket)<\/li>\n<li>Means to safely transport the newborn by car<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>It is essential that all of the baby\u2019s clothing be washed with special soap for newborns<\/em><\/p>\n<p>You can take a digital tour of the Maternity Clinic via the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hygeia.gr\/virtual\/\">Virtual Tour<\/a> and learn about the admission process, as well as what you\u2019ll need to bring with you on the day of your admission.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Your admission\u2014whether scheduled or emergency\u2014takes place at the Admissions Desk.
