This practice strengthens the mother\u2013child bond, helps establish breastfeeding, and allows you to more easily recognize your newborn\u2019s needs. Our staff is here to provide guidance, support, and education at every stage.<\/p>\n<h3>Breastfeeding<\/h3>\n<p>The birth of a child brings new experiences and educational needs for the mother and the family. Our care team provides information and practical guidance on newborn care, breastfeeding, and a safe transition home after discharge.<\/p>\n<p>Breastfeeding is encouraged to begin as soon as possible after delivery, provided the mother\u2019s and newborn\u2019s condition allows it. Our staff will support you during your first contact with your baby and as you begin breastfeeding.<\/p>\n<p>Midwives and lactation consultants are available to guide you on:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"pg-check\">\n<li>proper positioning and latching of the infant to the breast<\/li>\n<li>recognizing signs of hunger and satiety in the newborn<\/li>\n<li>maintaining lactation<\/li>\n<li>pumping and safely storing breast milk, when necessary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The care team provides personalized education and support for common challenges that may arise during breastfeeding, such as sore nipples, difficulty getting the baby to latch, or concerns about milk supply.
