{"id":24635,"date":"2020-01-13T14:31:30","date_gmt":"2020-01-13T12:31:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hygeia.gr\/?page_id=24635"},"modified":"2023-11-21T09:33:49","modified_gmt":"2023-11-21T07:33:49","slug":"cardiology-department","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.hygeia.gr\/en\/services\/iatrikes-yphresies-aixmhs\/cardiology-department\/","title":{"rendered":"Cardiology Department"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The cardiology sector comprises three Cardiology Departments, an organised team of collaborators, and individual divisions with which the Departments maintain a direct link and cooperation.<\/p>\n<h3>The Departments offer the following services:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Diagnosis, management and treatment of all emergency and chronic heart conditions.<\/li>\n<li>Prevention of heart diseases, at both the patient monitoring level and the level of public education, with lectures and scientific presentations.<\/li>\n<li>Diagnostic examinations, including transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography (modern techniques), myocardial scintigraphy, computed tomography and cardiac MRI.<\/li>\n<li>Collaboration between the Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology and Percutaneous Valve Divisions.<\/li>\n<li>Assessment of cardio-oncological patients and genetic testing of inherited cardiomyopathies and arrhythmogenic ventricular conditions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Cardiology Departments conduct extensive research and have ongoing publications in international medical journals.
