Baby’s Birth Registration

We inform you that, in accordance with the legislation in force, a digital birth registration process is available online for public and private maternity hospitals.

On the day after the birth and within 10 days, you must visit the Registration Office*, located on Level 1 of the Hospital, to register your newborn baby, submitting the following supporting documents (originals & copies):

• ID cards of both spouses or passports for non-Greek citizens
• IBAN of a bank account held in a bank that operates in Greece, where the mother appears as an account holder or joint account holder (if the mother cannot visit the office, a validated statement must be submitted whereby she authorizes the spouse to act on her behalf for the birth allowance)

Both parents must visit the Registration Office.
