The hygeia card offers an innovation, making it a unique healthcare card in Greece, as it allows you to create a "family unit", which, apart from the members of your family (first-degree relatives, spouse, children), may also include other people from your immediate environment.

Your "family unit" may be created very easily and swiftly at the customer service departments of the hospitals HYGEIA, MITERA and LETO, simply by filling out the relevant application form.

Each unit must have a principal member (over 18), who will be solely responsible for adding or excluding members.

The prerequisite for adding a member into your "family unit" is for that member to have received any healthcare service in the past at HYGEIA, MITERA or LETO hospitals.

From the moment the "family unit" is created, the reward rights that each member receives when using the services of the HYGEIA Group are transferred to a common account.

The reward rights may be used by any member or members of your family unit.

Useful Information

1. The hygeia card must be displayed during any transaction with the HYGEIA, MITERA or LETO hospitals to ensure prompt and quality services. Your official ID card must also be displayed to receive the discounts or free-of-charge exams.

2. The reward rights may be redeemed only when they are sufficient to cover a specific service. The reward rights correspond to specific free-of-charge services, while these may change over time so as to improve the program according to your specific needs.

3. In the event that the hygeia card is lost, stolen or destroyed, the owner must immediately notify the HYGEIA Group either by calling 1051 or by sending an email to info@hygeia.gr or by filling out the following form.

In the event of hospital admission, the hygeia card is issued by the Patient Administration Department, while for outpatient visits, it is issued by the relevant outpatient accounts departments.

The hygeia card privileges are:
1. a 20% discount on diagnostic, non-invasive exams (e.g. X-rays, microbiology exams, ultrasounds, etc);

By using the card, you automatically accumulate reward rights, which can be redeemed for free-of-charge healthcare services within the HYGEIA Group;

The 20% discount is offered for diagnostic, non-invasive exams. These exams are performed in the outpatient clinics of the Group’s hospitals and include: blood tests, microbiology tests, medical imaging tests (X-rays, CT-scans, U/S, mammographies, ECGs, stress tests, pulse-wave Doppler, etc). The diagnostic tests do not include invasive procedures, such as gastroscopy, wound suturing, colposcopy, cast placement, scintigraphy, colonoscopy, endoscopic removal of foreign body, bronchoscopy, laryngoscopy, biopsy sample, etc.

Yes, by calling the call center of the hospital you are interested in having the tests at (HYGEIA: +30 210 6867000, MITERA: +30 210 6869000, LETO: +30 210 6902000).

The “Right to Prevention” program has been designed to reward those of you who have chosen us for your healthcare needs. By using the hygeia card, you accumulate rights (points), which correspond to free-of-charge healthcare services within the HYGEIA Group.

Your rights may be redeemed at the Reception and Accounts departments of the HYGEIA, MITERA and LETO hospitals.

The process is simple. Proceed to the Reception, display your hygeia card and ask to redeem your rights for the product you are interested in. You must also carry with you your official ID card.

Yes. You may book an appointment by dialing 1051, which will connect you to the relevant Booking Department.

The reward rights can only be redeemed for outpatient visits, and cannot be used towards hospitalization fees.

The reward rights do not have commercial value and cannot be used to receive equal discount for diagnostic/invasive exams or hospitalization.

The hygeia card offers card owners the possibility of transferring the reward rights accumulated by themselves or by their family members into a joint “family unit”. From the moment the “family unit” is created, the reward rights that each member receives when using the services of the HYGEIA Group are transferred to a common account. From then onwards, any one member may redeem the reward rights.

The process is simple. Each unit must have a principal member (over 18), who will be solely responsible for adding or excluding members. The principal must visit one of the HYGEIA, MITERA or LETO hospitals and fill out the relevant application form at the corresponding hygeia card customer service department.

Apart from family members (first-degree relatives, spouse, children), other people from the principal member’s immediate environment may also become members.

The process for reissuing the hygeia card is simple. Simply dial 1051, provide your personal data and the hygeia card will be posted to you. Alternatively, you may ask the Accounts Office to issue you a new card during your next visit at any one of the HYGEIA, MITERA or LETO hospitals.

Apart from calling 1051, you may receive further information from the relevant hygeia card customer service departments of the HYGEIA, MITERA and LETO hospitals: HYGEIA (Physicians’ Secretariat – 4th Floor), LETO (Customer Service Department - Floor 0), MITERA (Patient Administration Department – Floor 0), MITERA CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL (Nurses’ Station - Floor 0).
