Clinical & Research Interest

Clinical Interest:

As described in the section «professional experience», although she holds vast clinical experi-ence in anesthesiology in almost all surgical subspecialties, including general surgery, vascular, neurosurgery, orthopedics, urology, pediatrics, gynecology and thoracic surgery, she considers herself expert in ENT, Head and Neck surgery, skull base endoscopic surgery, maxillofacial and reconstructive surgery.
As evidenced by her working posts, the last 15 years she provided anesthesia and anesthetic care to patients of all ages, that underwent all ranges of surgical procedures, mostly in these areas, under my full responsibility and management.
Relevant to those duties are her expertise in the management of the Difficult Airway and Fiber-optic intubation. The last 15 years she has been practicing those techniques and has been teaching them to my fellow colleagues, for whom I am the anesthesiologist to refer on in all difficult cases.

Research Interest:

1991-1992 Study of “The effect of H2 antagonists in lidocaine plasma levels during spinal an-esthesia in the elderly. “Laikon General Hospital”, Athens, Greece The above was presented as my PhD thesis in the Academic Scientific Committee of the Univer-sity of Athens and was scored “excellent”.
Anesthesia for experimental endoscopic abdominal surgery in pigs, experimental center of the ELPEN company, Leoforos Marathonos 95, Pikermi, Athens, in collaboration with the 2nd Surgical Department of “251 General Airforces Hospital”. The paper Experimental Laparoscopic Surgery (splenectomy, vagotomy), with results of the clinical experiments was presented during the 20th National Conference, Athens, May 17-21, 1994
