Patient Rights

All of our staff will serve you promptly, effectively, in the safest manner possible, and with the utmost respect.     To receive care that respects your personal worth, ideas, values, and beliefs, regardless of gender, age, race, ethnicity, religion, political ideology, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, or any disability.

  2. Right to Information

    • To be fully and clearly informed about your health condition, diagnosis, recommended treatments, their risks and benefits, as well as alternative options.
    • To receive information about the cost of care, if applicable.
    • To participate in decision-making regarding your care, treatment, and services
  3. Right to Informed Consent

    • To give your consent before any examination, treatment, or medical procedure, after you have been fully informed and all your questions have been answered.
    • To refuse or withdraw your consent at any time, with full knowledge of the possible consequences of this decision.
  4. Right to Privacy and Confidentiality

    • To have your privacy protected during examination, treatment, and personal care.
    • All information regarding your health is confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties without your express consent, unless required by law.
  5. Right to Choose

    To choose (when medically feasible) your attending physician, as well as to request a second medical opinion.

  6. Right to Spiritual/Religious Support

    To request and receive support for your spiritual or religious needs. The hospital will facilitate communication with religious ministers or other sources of support.

  7. Right to Pain Relief

    To receive appropriate and effective pain management.

  8. Right to Family Information and Involvement

    To designate which family members or friends may be informed and involved in decisions regarding your care.
