Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental Policy

1. Our VISION is to become a point of reference for high quality healthcare services in Greece and one of the best hospitals in Europe.

2. Our MISSION is to consistently and persistently strive towards achieving our vision through:

3. We have established the Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Policy of HYGEIA based on specific VALUES, which govern all our operations. These entail:

  • Safeguarding patient safety
  • Detecting undesirable trends and opportunities for improvement, with the aim of optimizing our clinical and corporate results
  • Respecting and responding to patient care needs, aiming at improving the satisfaction rate of our patients and their families

4. Our COMMITMENT to provide high-quality services covers both our operations and the entire range of the services we offer:

  • We focus on our patients and their families, by responding to their needs, desires and expectations, offering high quality healthcare services, and ensuring the necessary resources, including fully trained personnel and cutting-edge technology.
  • We implement an integrated QUALITY IMPROVEMENT & PATIENT SAFETY PROGRAM, which covers all clinical and administrative operations, including clinical laboratory services, diagnostic and therapeutic imaging services, occupational health and safety, labor accident and occupational illness prevention, environmental protection and pollution prevention.
  • We minimize any deviations from our operational standards and best international practices through suitable quality improvement initiatives, while we monitor their effectiveness using measures and indicators.
  • We have created an environment of trust and a workplace safety culture, promoting active participation, diversity of opinions, protection of rights, open communication, accountability, safety, environmental responsibility, teamwork, training and staff development, goal attainment and recognition, when expectations are achieved.
  • We comply with the legislation and the regulations, the quality management standards (JOINT COMMISSION INTERNATIONAL, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 15189) and Good Professional Practice standards related to our operation. Furthermore we comply with all the obligations we have accepted in writing and which pertain to our environmental efforts and the risks associated with occupational health and safety.
