Hellenic Healthcare Group: Silver Award from EcoVadis for Corporate Social Responsibility

The Hellenic Healthcare Group (HHG) has been recognized for the fourth consecutive year by the international sustainability rating agency EcoVadis, receiving a Silver Medal and achieving an improved overall performance for its sustainable development practices in the areas of Environment, Society and Governance (ESG). This distinction further strengthens its position as a model of responsible and sustainable entrepreneurship with a positive social footprint.

More specifically, the Group was assessed by EcoVadis in four critical areas – Environment, Labor Practices, Good Business Practices and Sustainable Procurement – achieving high scores in each category, as a result of implementing comprehensive and responsible strategies.

The Hellenic Healthcare Group recorded further improvement in its overall performance, achieving a higher score compared to previous years. It outperformed 94% of all companies assessed worldwide and ranked among the top 1% of healthcare companies worldwide. Notably, it also improved its standing in the Environment category, placing among the top 2% of companies worldwide in the field of healthcare, reaffirming its strong commitment to addressing climate change and maintaining a positive environmental footprint.

Significant progress was also recorded in the areas of Labor & Human Rights and Sustainable Supply Chain categories, with the Group ranking within the top 1% of healthcare companies worldwide.

The continuous recognition by EcoVadis and these outstanding results prove that the Hellenic Healthcare Group serves as a model for the Greek business community. Sustainable development is not treated as a mere objective, but as an integral part of its philosophy and corporate identity, contributing decisively to the sustainable development of the country.

At the same time, its firm commitment to standing by the citizens is reaffirmed though the provision of innovative, high-level medical services, the use of advanced diagnostic and treatment methods, the maintenance of a safe environment for staff and patients in accordance with international standards, as well as  through the integration of environmentally sustainable practices into its operations.

EcoVadis covers 200 supplier categories across 180 countries, and employs more than 150 experienced CSR analysts. Since 2007, more than 130,000 companies and over 220 Industry Leaders have joined the EcoVadis assessment platform.
