HYGEIA is the first to bring the Biograph Trinion – next-generation PET/CT scanner to Greece

HYGEIA is taking one more major step in the development of medical care in our country, with the installation of Biograph Trinion by Siemens Healthineers, the first fully digital, new generation PET/CT scanner in Greece.

With this new investment, HYGEIA reaffirms its longstanding role at the forefront of medical advancements, continuing a journey that began in 2004 with the establishment of the first PET/CT Department. Since then, it has consistently set the standards for Molecular Imaging in the country, aiming at the continuous enhancement of diagnosis and patient experience.

Biograph Trinion represents a new generation of hybrid imaging, based on fully digital technology and the integration of innovative Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications throughout every stage of the examination.

In this way, possible errors are dramatically reduced, even in the most demanding cases, while at the same time high-definition images that enhance the reliability and accuracy of the results are produced.

Thanks to the new technology, identifying the stage of the disease and assessing the response to treatment become easier and more accurate.

At the same time, the examination time is significantly reduced, up to 50%, offering faster service and less strain for the patient.

Of particular importance is the reduction in radiation to which the examinee is exposed, by more than 50%, maintaining or even improving the imaging quality. The result is a more comfortable, safe and less stressful experience for the patient.

In combination with the advanced image processing software available at HYGEIA, Biograph Trinion contributes to a comprehensive diagnostic approach, from precise imaging to targeted therapeutic guidance.
