HYGEIA: Sponsorship of the Hellenic Olympic Committee renewed for another 4 years

HYGEIA announced it has renewed its sponsorship of the Hellenic Olympic Committee athletes for another 4 years, during a Press Conference on Wednesday 8 December 2021, at the N. Louros Conference Center, located within MITERA.

Specifically, the HYGEIA sponsorship program includes free-of-charge healthcare services for all the athletes supported by the Hellenic Olympic Committee, which provides free diagnostic tests, hospitalization and surgical procedures. The program aims to assist the athletes to prepare for the Olympic Games, which will be hosted in Paris in 2024.

Since 2018, HYGEIA has been actively supporting the efforts of the athletes, meeting their healthcare needs free of charge as a Proud Sponsor of the Hellenic Olympic Team.

Commenting on this initiative, the HYGEIA Group Chairman and CEO, Mr. Andreas Kartapanis, stated, “Through our comprehensive Corporate Responsibility program we aspire to continuously stand by society, not just as an observer, but as an integral part of it. Meeting the needs of the Greek Olympic athletes, who proudly elevate Greece right in front of everyone, as they recently did in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, is an essential part of our culture, demonstrating the everlasting role of HYGEIA as an active corporate citizen.”

 On his part, the President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, Mr. Spyros Capralos, noted, “We are extremely delighted today to announce that the partnership between the Hellenic Olympic Committee and HYGEIA will continue until the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. HYGEIA’s support to the athletes of the pre-Olympic team to Tokyo was active and the athletes used its excellent services on many occasions, either for diagnostic tests or for hospitalization and surgical procedures. And on this occasion, I would like to convey the gratitude of all the team members towards you, Mr. Chairman, and towards the amazing medical and nursing staff, for everything that you do for our athletes.
