8th Medical & Nursing Meeting – Managing Patients in Emergencies/ Code Blue

The 8th Medical & Nursing Meeting on Managing Patients in Emergencies/Code Blue was completed successfully. Welcoming speeches were delivered by the HYGEIA General Manager, Ms Konstantina Psoni; the Chairman of the HYGEIA Scientific Council, Mr Georgios Zacharopoulos; the Director of the HYGEIA Nursing Division, Ms Aikaterini Panoutsopoulou; and the HYGEIA Medical Services Director, Mr Ioannis Apostolakis.

The speakers were members of the medical and nursing staff, and included Ms Paraskevi Voidonikola, Mr Christos Tzimas, Mr Charalampos Paskalis, Ms Eleni Dimaki, Mr Evangelos Koratzanis and Ms Konstantina Tsoukala. Through their talks, they described how medical emergencies can be managed throughout various stages of clinical treatment.

Other topics discussed included the inauguration of the Early Warning System, as well as the formation of an immediate response team, both of which could contribute to early identification and treatment of gradually deteriorating cases.
