Your Care

Healthcare services and support during your hospital stay.

Pain Management

Effective pain management is an important part of your care and recovery. Our goal is to work with you to minimize your pain and help you remain as comfortable as possible during your hospital stay.

During your hospital stay, healthcare professionals will regularly ask you if you are experiencing pain and how severe it is. A scale from 0 to 10 or other appropriate tools may be used to assess your pain, depending on your age and needs.

We encourage you to notify your care team immediately if:

  • you feel pain or discomfort,
  • the pain worsens,
  • the treatment you are receiving does not provide adequate relief,
  • you experience side effects from your pain treatment.

Pain management may include both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, such as repositioning, mobilization, physical therapy, relaxation techniques, or other appropriate methods, depending on your condition.

Your active participation and timely communication with the care team contribute to more effective pain management and a faster recovery.

Parents and guardians are asked to immediately inform the staff if they believe the child is in pain or is exhibiting behavioral changes that may be related to pain or discomfort.

Especially for mothers after childbirth, pain following a vaginal delivery or a C-section is systematically assessed and managed by your care team. Our goal is to ensure your comfort and safe mobility so that you can care for your newborn, breastfeed, and recover as smoothly as possible. Notify your midwife or doctor immediately if the pain is not adequately controlled or if you notice any new or unusual symptoms.
