Hellenic Healthcare Group: The only healthcare group in Greece ranked among the global top 1%, achieving EcoVadis’ highest “Platinum” rating

The only group in the Greek healthcare sector to receive EcoVadis’ highest distinction. A significant international recognition and a unique achievement for Greece, reflecting a long-term journey of continuous improvement.

The Hellenic Healthcare Group (HHG) has achieved EcoVadis’ highest “Platinum” rating, placing it among the top 1% of companies globally assessed by the international sustainability ratings organization. This highest level of recognition reflects the Group’s strong performance in sustainability and responsible business practices across key Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) areas.

Furthermore, HHG is the only healthcare group in Greece to have received the EcoVadis Platinum rating, making this year’s recognition particularly significant at both an international and national level.

The Platinum rating represents EcoVadis’ highest level of recognition and places the Hellenic Healthcare Group among the top 1% of companies worldwide assessed by EcoVadis. Under the EcoVadis methodology, rankings are calculated across the entire pool of companies assessed by the organization, regardless of industry, with the Platinum rating awarded to companies ranked in the top 1% globally.

For the Hellenic Healthcare Group, this year’s distinction is not an isolated achievement, but the result of a consistent evaluation process and the continuous strengthening of the Group’s sustainability practices, policies and responsible business operations. HHG received the Silver Medal in 2021–2022 and 2022–2023, the Bronze Medal in 2023–2024, and the Silver Medal again in 2024–2025, before reaching the highest Platinum level this year.

The EcoVadis assessment evaluates companies’ policies, actions and performance across four key pillars: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. Achieving Platinum status reflects the Group’s comprehensive approach to sustainability and responsible business practices within the highly demanding and complex healthcare sector.

This distinction is also particularly significant at the national level. The fact that the Hellenic Healthcare Group is the only healthcare group in Greece to have received the EcoVadis Platinum rating represents important recognition of its ongoing efforts and highlights the Group’s contribution to advancing high standards of responsible and sustainable business practices within the healthcare sector.
