Ear-Nose-Throat Department

The HYGEIA Hospital ENT Department is an ultra-modern and fully equipped otorhinolaryngology clinic, located on the third floor of the Hospital. It caters for the entire range of ear/nose/throat, as well as head/neck conditions.  The Clinic is made up of the following departments:

An Endoscopy Department, for comprehensive examination of the nose and parasanal sinuses, nasopharynx and larynx, with the option of recording/storing the findings.

A Neurotology & Vertigo Department, where the following tests are performed:

• Audiometry (tone, speech and high frequency testing)
• Tympanometry
• Acoustic reflexes / Acoustic impedance
• Videonystagmography
• Brain stem evoked acoustic responses
• Otoacoustic emissions
• Master ABR
• Posturography
• Facial nerve electroneurography

A Laser & Radiofrequencies Department for the surgical treatment of conditions relating to the nose, mouth, pharynx, larynx, sleep apnea, etc.

A Speech & Swallowing Disorders Department, where conditions are assessed and treated in partnership with a speech pathologist. Imaging and functional testing of speech and swallowing disorders is performed with:

• Stroboscopy
• Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing with Sensory Testing (FEESST)
• Acoustic voice analysis
• Phonography
• Voice spectroscopy
