HHG Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program “Pantou” travelled to Lemnos

23 June 2026

With a people-centred approach and an ongoing commitment to ensuring equal access to medical services for all, HYGEIA Hospital continues its social work dynamically, implementing prevention and healthcare initiatives in regions of Greece where the need for specialized medical care remains particularly high.

As part of the HHG Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility program “Pantou”, this year the mission travelled to Lemnos, on June 20 and 21, offering free medical services to the island’s residents. The action was hosted at the 2nd Primary School of Myrina and was organized under the coordination of HYGEIA Hospital. The mission consisted of 28 physicians, -of 20 specialties-, as well as of 32 volunteers as nursing, technical and administrative staff.

At the same time, free haematological and biochemical tests for adults and children, general ultrasound scans, electrocardiograms, heart ultrasounds, Pap tests, gynaecological ultrasounds and spirometry tests were performed. The participation of residents was impressive: more than 780 residents were examined and more than 3.500 medical and diagnostic tests were performed, reaffirming the necessity and value of such initiatives.

As part of the preventive medical examinations conducted, cases requiring further medical investigation and treatment were identified. HYGEIA will provide free-of-charge monitoring and care to these patients, thus demonstrating its longstanding social responsibility and its commitment to equal access to healthcare

Mr. Andreas Kartapanis, Chairman and CEO of HYGEIA, stated in this regard: “The program “Pantou” is not just another Corporate Social Responsibility initiative. It is our driving force to reach those who need us most. Lemnos is another stop on this journey, aiming at prevention, early diagnosis and equal access to medical services for all. I would like to express my sincere thanks to all the physicians and volunteers who participated, as well as the residents for their warm reception”.

The Mayor of Lemnos, Mrs. Eleonora Georga, stated: “On behalf of the local community of Lemnos, we express our sincere gratitude to HYGEIA and the HHG Group, as well as to the physicians and volunteers, whose strong sense of responsibility and professionalism enabled them to provide valuable preventive and healthcare services to the residents of our island. The enthusiastic response of the local community underscores the importance of such initiatives for island and remote communities.”

The Corporate Social Responsibility program “Pantou” has now been established as a stable institution of social contribution, consistently reflecting the philosophy and human-centred character of the HHG Group. Firmly orientated towards care, quality and respect, we continue to stand by our fellow citizens, all over Greece.
